I'm married to (brace yourself, it's mushy) my best friend. No really. He is my best friend. He makes me laugh...and we laugh together a lot - because that's how you make it in my book. And we're making it - after 12 years and still going strong. He's a wonderful, honorable, Godly man, and an amazing husband and father. He's also a cook. No, that's not good enough. He's a chef. You'll simply have to take my word for it. Or my posts - because those pics do slip in here now and again. There is no reason to eat out. Ever. OK, maybe for Sushi. Otherwise, it's better at home. You heard it here. Also, I don't cook. Nope. Not at all. Unless the captain is down.
I'm a mother and I'm still getting used to that title. In May of 2008 we adopted our son, Quint from Ethiopia. He's a dreamboat little boy...like, mega dreamboat. First of all, he's adorable. Second, he's funny. Third, I'm ending the list now because it will go on and on and this is just one page here. Gah! He keeps us on our toes because he's wicked smart and highly charming. I'm in LOVE with this boy.

More specifically, I'm a Daughter of the Most High God! Isn't that like the best title ever? I am a flawed girl, ya'll - but I am saved by Grace and how wonderful does that Grace appear in my life every day!

We also have an amazing little daughter, Keira Joy - who came home from China in January of 2010. We waited over four years for her and she was worth every single second of that horrible process. She is A. Dorable. Sorry folks, the line to kiss her apple cheeks is forming to the rear. Single file only please. You have never seen such a cute baby girl. No. Not possible. Love her. Love, love her and her chubby cheeks.
I love writing. I really enjoy sharing my heart and using humor to convey truth and real life. And to be honest, I don't know about you but my life isn't always pretty to look at. Inside and out. I have a great husband and two marvelous kids, but I'm far from perfect. And often what's on the inside is what needs the most work anyway.
This is just my little corner of the world where I can share myself and my thoughts about all sorts of topics - but let's face it - mostly about marriage and parenting. It gives me great comfort to reach out to others through this medium. I'm known for telling it like it is and spilling out the truth - but it's what makes me, well me.
